Organization of Future Society Development in Afghanistan

(OFSDA) Organization of Future Society Development for Afghanistan is a co-woman-led and national non-governmental not-for-profit organization, registered in August 11- 2020 with the MoEc Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan. Reg: NO (4998)
The overall goal of OFSDA is to improve Women and Youth Civic education, reduction of Prevention of violence and extremism, to work closely with national and other organizations to promote Public Health to contribute to poverty reduction by supporting local communities’ services, Education, Protection mainstreaming, and Peace & stability in society. OFSDA's formation was driven by the imperative to enhance risk awareness, promote peacebuilding, resolve conflicts, prevent violent extremism, and address socio-economic challenges, including poverty and educational deficiencies, particularly among disadvantaged youth and rural residents. This initiative seeks to alleviate the heightened suffering caused by frequent insecurity, natural disasters, and a lack of awareness.

To collaborate with national and local organizations to enhance public health and reduce poverty by supporting community services, education, livelihoods, food security, and protection, while advocating for women’s rights, social justice, and gender equality to foster peace and stability in society.

Mandate

OFSDA’s mandate is to support vulnerable communities in Afghanistan through integrated humanitarian and development interventions that promote women’s rights, gender equality, social justice, protection, and sustainable livelihoods. The organization works to prevent violence, exploitation, and extremism by strengthening communities.

Vision

The OFSDA vision is to foster a healthy, informed, prosperous, and literate society in Afghanistan by providing high-quality services that promote food security and livelihood, in alignment with the principles of rule of law, social justice, public relief, and non-discrimination.
